Esto verdad?
I was turned on to Leo, when I was a 17-year-old, c. 1981, living in Homer Spit, Alaska, working the graveyard shift at Seward Fisheries at the far end of the spit. My roommates were a group of upper 20-year-olds and lower 30-year-olds. Fond memories, now as a 60-year-old. Life is short.
I like your story, I can see it!
2 Hervoragende Englische Gitarristen und das Arangement
Is the title about dated nails for railroad ties?
Leo Kottke wrote the following about this track in the liner notes of 6&12 String Guitar: "From an old Etruscan drawing of a sperm cell". But that doesn't really help in explaining the title...
Magic!
The best instrumentalist I ever heard
1:31 wtf is that !!!! Strings muting in the most perfect way
OLE
And send my soul spiarling to the stars ..to heaven.. free of earthly toil..for music is the omnipresence and spiritual definer...am drunk of course..forgive.
Un prodigio, Paco Peña.
How can you say anything after that?

I guess you mean 'embraces'; the way you write it, it resembles 'embarasses', which is defintely not what you mean...
Isn't this piece the "saltarelo", from Vicenzo Galilei?
No, similar dance but Saltarello is different pieces. This is Volta from Michael Pretorius
What show was this particular piece on, and the date, does anyone know?
bodega
Amazing you wouldn’t know that’s a classical

electric guitar sound through this recording 😂😂
One of the greatest overlooked entertainers of our time
Excelente!
I dislike the titles covering up so much of that incredible technique.
That was magnificent! Why on EARTH did John Williams stop using Hernandez y Aguado guitars? His tone HERE is magical! What a gorgeous duet by them both!!!!
I agree the Smallman guitars he started playing in the eighties sound poor, but the guitar he used before that was a Fleta, not Hernandez y Aguado...
@tmjcbs yes, but the guitar in this video IS a Hernandez y Aguado. His Fleta was a Cedar top with a 3 arch headstock. If you've seen the recital that he & Bream did in the Wiltshire Chapel, that was on the Fleta. Julian Bream is using his Romanillos there, rather than the Hauser.
@@Anton_the_Vampire That's remarkable (for me at least), I stand corrected! I've never noticed that this is indeed a different guitar, the Fleta has a reddish top. Question: how do you know for sure this is a Hernandez y Aguado? The quality of this video makes identification almost impossible I would say. Just now I did an internet search and indeed Williams is mentioned as one of the guitarists who played a Hernandez y Aguado. Also I read his very early recordings (late 50ies and early 60ies) are made with a Ramirez guitar and most if not all of the recordings after that (and before Smallman) are made with a Fleta. Reading through some articles just now I read that Smallman admired Fleta guitars quite a bit and asked Williams how he could improve on them...I still wonder what went wrong in that process...
@tmjcbs thanks. Well, I'm a little bit of a guitar nerd, so I am very familiar with the headstock shapes of Ramirez II-III, Fleta, Hernandez y Aguado, Contreras II, Smallman, Romanillos, & Hauser. One of the biggest giveaways though is the tapa/soundboard colour. Like you said, the Fleta is reddish in colour; most likely Canadian Cedar. A yellowish colour is most like German Spruce.
Kottke is amazing. Also listen to him play with Michael Johnson.
Listen to everything you can by Leo Kottke. Amazing
What an amazing song and performance! It just hits all the right spots.
what is song name
This sounds like an improvisation. I haven't been able to find this (or parts of it) in Paco Pena's recordings...

Well played, no rush, love it. Thanks for loading.
Maravilloso!!
The sonorities of individual guitars, perhaps definable in terms of how well the fundamental tones ring, are fascinating. This early Bream uses a pleasing, full sound. FAR too often guitarists seem to choose guitars that do not have this or better resonance, opting for tinny sounding guitars which have greater forte reaching louder, further. The best two guitars i used were a cheap Japanese Orlando, that better guitarists loved and often borrowed, and a Venezuelan one made of the dark tropical woods that are now rather endangered. Some quite famous-branded guitars tended to have the thin pitches is describe as inferior to a really good guitar. The choice of string stiffness or hardness does make some difference in this quality, but it is really the construction that favors or limits this most important deep resonance. I can hardly bear, and often not stand guitars or compositions without it.
Es de mis guitarristas de referencia ...espectacular
Muito belo.
Que som limpo e lindo.
